When can I download Vivi Baby?
Now. Vivi Baby is on the App Store for iPhone, with a companion app for Apple Watch. It is free to download, and logging is free. Vivi Plus is optional, adds Sleepy Time, Insights and Checkups, and comes with a 14-day free trial.
Do I need to create an account?
No account needed. There is no password and no sign-up. Vivi uses the Apple Account already on your iPhone and stores your baby's log in your own iCloud Drive.
Can my partner and I both log from our own phones?
Yes. A family is a shared folder in iCloud Drive. Invite your partner, a grandparent or a nanny and each person logs from their own iPhone with their own Apple Account. Every entry shows who saved it, and a timer started on one phone shows up on the others.
Does my family need more than one Vivi Plus subscription?
Usually not. Vivi Plus supports Apple Family Sharing, so one subscription covers everyone in your Apple Family Sharing group, such as your partner, at no extra cost. Someone outside that group, such as a nanny with their own Apple Account, can still log everything for free and needs their own subscription only for Vivi Plus features.
Does it work on Apple Watch?
Yes. From your wrist you can start and stop sleep, time a breastfeed and switch sides, run the pump timer, log a bottle with the Digital Crown, and log a wet, dirty or dry diaper in one tap.
Where is my baby's data stored?
In your iCloud Drive, as ordinary Markdown and YAML text files plus photos. If iCloud Drive is off, the same files stay on your iPhone only. You can open them in the Files app or any text editor. Vivi has no server that stores your log. The only thing it sends out is anonymous timer state, so a running timer can appear on your partner's Lock Screen.
Can I switch from another baby tracker?
Yes. Vivi imports the CSV exports from Nara Baby, Huckleberry and Baby Tracker (by Nighp), with a preview before anything is saved. Importing the same file again later won't create duplicates. You can also export your own history to CSV at any time.
I use Nara Baby. Can I move my data to Vivi?
Yes. In Nara, tap your child's avatar and choose Export Data. Then in Vivi, open Preferences and choose Import from Nara Baby. Nara now costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 lifetime after its 7-day trial, but without a plan it still lets you view and export, so you can move your history either way. Logging in Vivi is free.
Does Vivi use AI?
No. Sleepy Time and Insights are simple, predictable rules that run on your iPhone. Insights link to their sources, such as the WHO, CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics, so you can read the guidance yourself.
Is Vivi medical advice?
No. Vivi shows patterns in what you log and does not diagnose. For anything that worries you, talk to your child's doctor. Checkups are there to make that conversation easier, with a summary of the weeks since the last visit and a list of your questions.
Does it work for twins or several children?
Yes. You can track several children in one family, switch between them in a tap, and run timers for each. Babies born early can use their due date for age-based guidance such as Sleepy Time and milestones.
Which devices does it need?
An iPhone running iOS 18 or later. iCloud Drive is needed only to sync your log across devices and to share it with other caregivers. Without it, Vivi keeps the log on that iPhone. The Apple Watch app needs watchOS 26 or later. There is no iPad or Android version.
Which languages is Vivi Baby in?
English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Japanese. Vivi uses your iPhone's language.
