Huckleberry Cost: Plus vs Premium Prices
Huckleberry has a free version for basic tracking, plus two paid plans. Plus costs $11.99 a month or $68.99 a year, and Premium costs $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, in US dollars. Every new account gets a 14-day Premium trial, and you don’t need a card for it.
We read Huckleberry’s pricing page, its App Store listing and its help center on 2026-10-07. Prices change and can differ by country, so treat the numbers below as a guide and check the price in the app before you pay.

The plan rows come from Huckleberry’s pricing page and its help center articles on Plus and Premium.
The App Store and the pricing page don’t quite match. The App Store lists two yearly prices for Plus, $68.99 and $58.99, and Premium at $119.99. The lower Plus price may be an older or promotional price, but neither page says so. The App Store also lists two one-time purchases, a “Sleep Improvement Plan” at $49.99 and “Expedited Service” at $19.99, and the pricing page doesn’t explain them. Check the price at checkout.
Paying yearly cuts the cost of Plus by about half and Premium by about a third. The help center says the monthly plan has a one-month minimum, and you can cancel it at any time.
What the free version of Huckleberry includes
Huckleberry does have a free tier. Its help center says the free app “will always provide access to all baby tracking features”, and lists:
- Tracking for sleep, feeding, pumping, diapers and more
- Several child profiles in one account, synced for every caregiver
- Reminders to pump, feed or give medication
- Daily summaries and basic reports, by day or by week
The App Store listing also names a contraction timer and a breastfeeding timer for both sides among the free features.
What the free tier leaves out matters more if you’re on an iPhone. Huckleberry’s help center says the Apple Watch app is “not available for free subscribers”. Home Screen widgets and Live Activities on the Lock Screen are listed for Plus and Premium too, and so is Siri voice logging. So a free family logs in the phone app.
To share with a partner, both of you sign in to the same Huckleberry account. The pricing page says that’s how caregivers share a plan, so one subscription covers everyone on that account.
The free trial and how to cancel
Here is how the trial works, from Huckleberry’s help center:
- It starts as soon as you create your account, and it lasts 14 days.
- It’s a trial of Premium, but it leaves out custom sleep plans. Those come only with a paid Premium membership. You do get Berry and all the Plus features.
- No credit card is needed, and you aren’t subscribed automatically at the end. You drop back to the free app.
- You can’t pause or push back the trial. If you’re expecting, it starts when you sign up, even before your baby arrives.
Paid plans are different. The pricing page says a subscription renews automatically, and Huckleberry sends a reminder before the period ends.
To cancel a paid plan, the help center gives these steps:
- In Huckleberry, tap the gear icon at the top right of the home screen to open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Huckleberry Memberships.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
If you paid through Apple, Google Play or PayPal and that link doesn’t take you to the right screen, cancel in that account instead. Cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the subscription. You keep the paid features until the renewal date. Canceling doesn’t refund you either: on iPhone, refunds go through Apple.
There’s no pause button. The help center says you can cancel and subscribe again later, but a special rate you had before won’t come back.
What you keep if you stop paying
When a paid plan ends, Huckleberry’s help center says your account and all your logged data stay. You keep the free features: the trackers, reminders, several child profiles and summary reports. Sleep plans you already received stay in the app, but you can’t ask for a new one without Premium.
You lose SweetSpot, Insights, Schedule Creator, Enhanced Reports, AI logging, the Apple Watch app, widgets and Live Activities.
You can still export. Open the child profile, tap Export tracking data as CSV, then tap Got it! Email it. Huckleberry emails you a download link that works for 24 hours. You get one CSV per child, with sleep, feeding, diapers and the rest. It’s worth doing even if you plan to stay, so you have your own copy. Our step-by-step guide covers how to export your Huckleberry data and what the file holds.
Cheaper options
If paying for Huckleberry doesn’t make sense for you, there are three cheaper routes:
- Stay on Huckleberry’s free tier. Logging and sharing stay free. You give up the Watch, widgets, Live Activities and predictions.
- Pay yearly, not monthly. Plus drops from $11.99 to $5.74 a month, and Premium from $14.99 to $9.99.
- Switch to an app that gives more away free. Several trackers have free logging and cheaper paid tiers. Some run on Android, and some don’t. Our list of Huckleberry alternatives compares six apps on price, platforms and sharing. Weighing it against Nara Baby? Read Nara Baby vs Huckleberry.
Before you switch, work out which paid feature you actually use each day, and check that the new app has it.
How Vivi Baby compares on cost
Vivi Baby is our app, so read this part with that in mind. It’s a newborn and parents companion app for iPhone (iOS 18 or later) and Apple Watch (watchOS 26 or later). There is no iPad or Android version.
In Vivi Baby, almost everything is free: logging, History, Trends, search, sharing with caregivers, the Apple Watch app, widgets, Live Activities, Siri, import and export. There are no ads. Three things that need Plus in Huckleberry (the Watch app, widgets and Live Activities) are free here.
Vivi Plus is optional and adds three advanced features for $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year, with a 14-day free trial:
- Checkups gathers growth, medical notes, recent stats and your questions before a pediatrician visit.
- Sleepy Time estimates the next nap and bedtime from wake windows. It uses rules, not AI. More in how Vivi’s sleep predictions work.
- Insights spots patterns in what you log and compares them with WHO, CDC and AAP guidance, with a link to each source.
Vivi Plus supports Apple Family Sharing, so one subscription covers your Apple Family Sharing group. See Vivi Baby pricing for the full terms.
| Huckleberry | Vivi Baby | |
|---|---|---|
| Logging and sharing | Free | Free |
| Apple Watch, widgets, Live Activities | Plus or Premium | Free |
| Nap and bedtime predictions | Plus: $11.99 a month or $68.99 a year | Vivi Plus: $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year |
| Sleep plans and parenting chat | Premium: $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year | Not offered |
| Who one subscription covers | Everyone signed in to the same account | Your Apple Family Sharing group |
| Platforms | iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android | iPhone and Apple Watch |
There’s no account to create. The family’s log is kept as plain files in your own iCloud Drive, inspired by how Obsidian stores notes, and your baby’s log is not uploaded to Vivi’s servers. The one exception: shared live timers pass through a small relay run by Vivi, and it sees only anonymous timer state. Read more on how Vivi keeps your data private.
Vivi imports a Huckleberry CSV export, so you don’t start over. You pick the child and the time zone, check a preview, then import.

What Huckleberry does better
Huckleberry is ahead in several places, and for some families that settles it:
- Android. Huckleberry runs on Android as well as iPhone. If anyone who logs uses Android, Vivi won’t work for them.
- Sleep plans. Premium includes custom sleep plans from a team of more than 30 experts, built from an intake questionnaire and your logs, with an update you can request each month. Vivi has nothing like this.
- Berry. Premium has a chat for parenting questions at any hour. Vivi has no chat.
- SweetSpot and Schedule Creator. Huckleberry has nap predictions plus a tool that plans out a full day of naps. Vivi’s Sleepy Time estimates the next nap and bedtime, and it doesn’t build a schedule.
- AI logging. Plus lets you log by text, voice or photo, for example by pasting a message from your babysitter.
- One plan for any phone. Everyone signed in to your Huckleberry account shares the plan, whatever phone they use. Vivi Plus covers only your Apple Family Sharing group. A caregiver outside it logs for free but needs their own subscription for Plus features.
- Older devices. The App Store says Huckleberry needs iOS 16 or later, and its Watch app needs watchOS 10.2 or later. Vivi needs iOS 18 and watchOS 26. Huckleberry also has an iPad app.

Which to pick
- You want sleep coaching or the chat: Huckleberry Premium. Pay yearly if you can, and remember that the trial doesn’t include sleep plans.
- You want nap predictions and your family mixes iPhone and Android: Huckleberry Plus, yearly.
- You only log feeds, sleep and diapers: Huckleberry’s free tier covers it. On iPhone, Vivi Baby adds the Watch, widgets and Live Activities for free.
- Everyone uses an iPhone and you want to pay less: export your Huckleberry history, then try Vivi. Logging is free, and Vivi Plus is there if you want it later.
Whatever you choose, export each child’s CSV first. Get Vivi Baby.
