Talli Baby Tracker is an event logger for iPhone, iPad and Android. It was built to pair with a one-touch tracker device. Vivi Baby is for iPhone and Apple Watch only. It keeps your log in your own iCloud Drive, needs no account, and adds a next-nap estimate with Vivi Plus. Choose Talli if you need Android or iPad. Choose Vivi if your household uses Apple devices and you want the Watch and no account.

This page compares Vivi Baby with the Talli Baby app from Talli, inc. The App Store lists the developer as BabyLogger, LLC. Talli also has a separate Talli Care app. This page does not cover it.

What Vivi Baby does better

No account is needed. You open the app and start logging. Talli’s privacy policy says it collects name, email and your child’s details, and its site has account log-in.

Your data sits in your iCloud. Vivi writes each entry as a Markdown file in your family’s own iCloud Drive folder. Your baby’s log is not uploaded to Vivi’s servers. Talli syncs data between devices and caregivers through its own service.

Vivi has a Watch app, widgets and Live Activities for running timers. Talli’s pages do not list any of these.

Vivi exports CSV without a subscription. Talli says full export is part of Premium.

Vivi can bring in Huckleberry, Nara Baby and Baby Tracker data. We found no import in Talli.

Sleepy Time in Vivi Plus estimates the next nap and bedtime. It is a rule that runs on your device, not AI. It is an estimate only.

What Talli does better

Talli runs on Android, iPad and Apple Vision as well as iPhone. If one caregiver uses an Android phone, Talli works for the whole family. Vivi has no Android app and no iPad app.

Talli made a hardware tracker that logs an event with a press. Talli says it paused manufacturing because of production and import costs, and its stock has sold out. The app still works without it.

Talli Premium lets you customize events to track extra information or turn a button into something else. This may help if your child has medicines or therapies to log. Vivi has a fixed set of trackers.

Talli says its Alexa integration is free and works with Echo devices. Vivi has Siri, not Alexa.

Talli’s listing says iOS 13 or later. Vivi needs iOS 18 or later, so phones on iOS 17 or older can only run Talli.

The App Store shows Talli Baby Premium at $3.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Vivi Plus is $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year. The tiers do not match. Vivi Plus adds Sleepy Time, Insights and Checkups. Talli Premium adds custom buttons, smart alerts, one-touch logging and export.

Talli’s site says the app remains fully available after the hardware stopped. The App Store listing shows version 1.2.5, last updated 5 September 2024.

Privacy and data storage

Talli’s privacy policy covers the Talli Baby app and the Talli Care tracker together. Its text is dated “Last updated: March 18, 2026”. The table uses only what each side says in its own policy or App Store label, read on 2026-10-01.

What each app says about your data

What is collectedNo account. Your baby’s log is in your iCloud Drive and Vivi cannot see it. A small relay run by Vivi carries anonymous timer state.Policy: name, email, child’s name, birthday and gender, logged health data, and usage data such as device type and IP address. App Store label, linked to you: health, name, email address, user ID. Not linked to you: crash data.
Advertising and analyticsNo ads. No tracking.Policy: Google Analytics, with health data excluded. It says it does not use health data for advertising or marketing. Apple, Google Play and Stripe handle payments.
Sale or sharingWe do not sell or share your baby’s log. We cannot: it is in your iCloud Drive and we have no access to it.Policy: “We will not sell your personal information, including health and baby tracking data, to third parties.”

Vivi Baby has no account, no ads and no tracking. Your entries are Markdown files in your own iCloud Drive. One thing does leave your device: a small relay run by Vivi carries anonymous timer state, and encrypted Live Activity tokens, so a running timer shows on other devices. Your baby’s log is not uploaded to Vivi’s servers. Read more in what a private baby tracker means.

A demo family opened in the Files app. On your iPhone, the same folders sit in iCloud Drive, in a folder named Vivi Baby.

Apple Watch

We found no Apple Watch app in Talli’s App Store listing or on its site. Our search does not prove none exists, so check before you decide. Vivi Baby has a Watch app for logging and timers, and Watch complications. See how the Apple Watch tracker works.

Sleep tracking and predictions

Talli logs sleep, and Talli Premium has smart alerts that send a reminder a set time after an event. We found no next-nap prediction on its pages.

Vivi Plus adds Sleepy Time, an estimate of the next nap and bedtime. It runs as rules on your device. Treat it as a likely time, not a promise. The wake-window values it uses are not published by any medical body.

Family sharing

Vivi lets you invite caregivers at no cost. Talli’s site says you can invite caregivers and family members, and its free features include sharing; we found no caregiver limit. Talli’s privacy policy suggests each person has an account. In Vivi, the family folder is shared through iCloud with caregivers who have their own Apple ID. Invited caregivers can see, add, edit and delete everything in the shared folder. Vivi has no limited roles. Talli’s pages do not describe roles.

If a caregiver is on Android, Talli is the one that works. If everyone is on Apple devices and you want live timers on every phone and Watch, Vivi fits. See how couples share a baby tracker.

Pricing

Vivi Baby is free for logging, History, Trends, search, sharing, the Watch, widgets, Siri, import and export. Vivi Plus adds Sleepy Time, Insights and Checkups for $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year. It supports Apple Family Sharing, so one subscription covers your Apple Family Sharing group. Someone outside that group logs for free and needs a subscription only for Plus features. The 14-day free trial starts only when a parent opens a Plus feature and chooses it. Full terms are on the pricing page.

Talli Baby is free to download. The App Store lists Talli Baby Premium at $3.99 per month and $39.99 per year. Talli’s own site has a page that shows $5.99 per month or $49.99 per year with a 14-day trial, but that page names Talli Care, not Talli Baby. Its features page for Premium shows no prices. So the $3.99 price is the only one we can tie to Talli Baby, and it comes from the App Store. Talli’s site might describe a different product or a newer price. Check the price in the app before you subscribe.

Import and export

Talli’s Premium page says you can export events to a CSV file, and another page mentions export to text, email or print. Talli says full export is a Premium feature. We found no import feature.

Vivi exports CSV for free from the child settings. It imports Huckleberry, Nara Baby and Baby Tracker data. Nara users may want that now, since Nara Baby costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 lifetime after a 7-day trial, and without a plan you can only view and export. See whether Nara Baby is still free. There is no Talli importer that we could confirm, so a move from Talli means exporting the CSV and starting Vivi fresh. If you also use another app, see the Vivi alternatives for Huckleberry.
